The Ruyi Venice Act: The Beta Test #2
November 19, 2007 · No Comments
There is something hidden behind Venice mysteries and legends. You are the only one who can find it!
What is The Ruyi (Venice Act)?
The Ruyi Venice is a challenge, an event, a game invented by H-play.
Look at this video presentation
What’s happened on 9th november 2007?
I went in Venice to meet H-play Staff and participate to the 2nd Beta Test.
Thanks to: a Venice Map, a secret diary and other players, I have tried to discover where The Ruyi was hidden.
It was only a Beta Test, but it was very funny and interesting.
Among 6 stages I discovered places of Venice and mysteries I never knew.
All of you can register and participate to the official event!

I wish David LaChapelle had a Flickr account.
The Scrovegni Chapel in Padua
November 8, 2007 · 4 Comments
When I was young
I visited the Scrovegni Chapel with my classmates, but I was too young to appreciate it.
So, last week, when my friends came from Rome we decided to visit this Giotto’s masterpiece.
The Scrovegni Chapel is a small church frescoed by Giotto between 1303 and 1305 and it was dedicated to St. Mary of the Charity.
The Chapel was commissioned by Enrico degli Scrovegni. His father was known as a loan-shark so Enrico Degli Scrovegni decided to build a small temple to “make amends” for his father’s sins.
The frescoes cover the entire walls and its narrate events in the lives of the Virgin Mary and Christ .
The pictures of the frescos have no shadows and are surrounded by an unreal light. I loved the range of colours that keep alive the images and the strong feeling they express (tears running down the faces of the mothers of the children massacred by King Herod look so real!).
I think the best picture is the Last Judgement that you can admire on the wall opposite the altar.
Are you thinking to come in Padua? So, have a look!
Remember: to visit the Scrovegni Chapel you have to book and pay before.
